As preparations for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination continue, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released its roster of authorised Computer-Based Test facilities, with several previously accredited centres conspicuously absent.
The Board advises candidates to check the official list of centres on JAMB’s website before registering or taking the exam. Centres not on this list are not authorised and cannot legally handle registrations or host exams.Â
In recent years, JAMB has increased its monitoring of CBT centres across the country. Centres that do not meet technical, operational, or ethical standards have been suspended or removed.
Centres under provisional suspension may rectify identified deficiencies and apply for reinstatement. Those permanently delisted, however, must undergo a complete re-application process and satisfy all regulatory standards before being considered for future examination cycles. A significant number of centres removed in 2024 and 2025 have not successfully regained their accreditation and remain off the 2026 list.
In 2025, JAMB removed several centres that did not meet its requirements. These centres had issues with infrastructure, technical capacity, and adherence to exam procedures. Candidates assigned to these centres were moved to other approved locations.
Among the 2025 delisted centres yet to be reinstated are Adventure Associate in Kano State, Saadatu Rimi College of Education CBT Centre in Kano State, and Soronara Ventures Nigeria Limited in Imo State.
In 2024, JAMB also removed about 25 centres after they performed poorly during mock exams and registration. Problems included faulty equipment, poor conditions, and not following standard procedures. Most of these centres are still not approved for the 2026 exam.
Centres delisted in 2024 that are still excluded from the 2026 approved list are Ola Unity Children’s School CBT Centre and Command Day Secondary School CBT Centre, both located in Lagos State, Beijing International School CBT in Kaduna State, Ateko Digital Technology CBT, and Lincoln College of Science, Management and Technology CBT Centre in Abuja.
The examination body has emphasised the importance of candidates confirming their centre’s approval status to prevent complications or disqualification during the examination period.
