If you have noticed any error in your admission records with JAMB, it probably might be getting you worried, hence it is why we are here to provide you with the needed guidance and introduce you to JAMB Regularization and the procedures involved.
JAMB Regularization is a process carried out by students or graduates to resolve errors in their admission records with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board. This process ensures that your admission details match JAMB’s records, enabling you to obtain a valid JAMB Admission Letter and/or process your National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization.
Who Needs JAMB Regularization?
Generally, if you are being categorized under the following list, it will be necessary to process JAMB regularization
1 | Direct Entry (DE) Admission without UTME | If you gained admission directly into a tertiary institution without going through JAMB such as Direct Entry or Polytechnic admission, you need to regularize your admission. |
2 | Late Admission | If your institution admitted you without following proper JAMB procedures or without JAMB approval, regularization should be the next thing you should think about. |
3 | No JAMB Registration Number | If you graduated from a tertiary institution and do not have a valid JAMB registration number, you will have to regularize the entire admission. |
4 | Admission Type Mismatch | Although less often than happening, admission type usually gets mismatched, so if it occurs to you that the details in your JAMB portal do not match your institution’s records (e.g., course of study, year of admission, or institution), regularization will be needed. |
5 | For NYSC Mobilization | If you’re a graduate preparing for NYSC and your name is not on the JAMB matriculation list, you will have to proceed with JAMB regularization. |
