Are you among the candidates who wish to change their institution, or did you make a mistake in your form while registering for the 2026 JAMB UTME? Do not panic, JAMB has made provision for the correction of data. Here is the latest update: JAMB Begins Change of Institution
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Change of Institution allows you to switch from your initially allocated university to a different university of your choice, provided both institutions offer your desired course and have available slots.

Interestingly, you can still perform this action even after writing the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Direct entry students can also apply for a change of course form.
This option is available for candidates who:
- Made a mistake in the registration form

Change of Institution Form Cost
It costs about two thousand five hundred naira only (N2500) to change your institution and correct your bio data. JAMB will request this money once you are about to begin the process.
You can use your ATM card or any payment gateway you may like to pay for this service on JAMB CAPS.
JAMB 2026 Change of Institution Online Procedures
Visit any JAMB accredited centre nearest to you to start your data correction process. However, you can do this yourself by following the step by step guide below:
- Visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng/efacility
- Log in with your email and password
- Navigate to “Registration”
- Select “UTME Data Correction” or “DE Data Correction”
- Make a payment of N2500 with your ATM card or select other available payment options
- Input your registration number to continue
- Now make changes to your bio data and confirm
- Submit the application and wait for approval
We advise that you apply for your change of institution on time to increase your chances of securing admission at your chosen institution.
