Candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Monday, 20 April, can now access their results following a confirmation by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Tuesday.
Dr Fabian Benjamin, the board’s spokesperson, directed candidates to send UTMERESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they used to register for the examination.
“The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” Benjamin stated.
The Monday batch is the latest in a series of daily releases since the examination commenced on Thursday, 16 April 2026. The board had earlier published a combined release on Sunday, 19 April, covering candidates who wrote on Friday, 17 April and Saturday, 18 April, after missing its initial Saturday deadline.
JAMB apologised for the delay, attributing it to the absence of its chief executive, who was occupied with an official engagement at the time. The postponement had drawn frustration from candidates who waited through the night for their scores.
The 2026 UTME involves 2,000,000 candidates sitting computer based tests across centres nationwide, with results being published in daily batches as the exercise progresses. Benjamin had earlier confirmed that result printing remains unavailable at this stage, with SMS remaining the only authorised channel for checking scores.
