The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for the sale of 2026 Direct Entry (DE) application documents to 8 May 2026, as part of measures to ensure no prospective candidate is denied access to tertiary education.

The board also approved five additional registration centres to ease pressure in high demand areas, with all existing Professional Registration Centres (PRCs) and Professional Testing Centres (PTCs) nationwide remaining open for the ongoing exercise.

JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin confirmed the development in an official statement, noting that the decision was driven by the board’s commitment to expanding access to tertiary education across the country.

The five newly approved centres are the Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL), Mini Campus, University of Ilorin, Kwara State; Bells University of Technology, Km 8, Idiroko Road, Ota, Ogun State; Olabisi Onabanjo University, Centre 1, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State; Prof. Usman eLearning Centre, Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, Oyo State; and Human Development Initiatives (Grace House), No. 2, Iwaya, Sabo, Opposite Onike Girls Junior High School, Onike, Lagos State.
