Anambra Students Receive 10,000 Free JAMB Slots as Renewed Hope Programme Continues

Students across Anambra State’s 21 local government areas have received 10,000 free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board registration slots, with each beneficiary getting ₦8,500 to cover their 2026 examination costs.

The distribution took place as the South East Renewed Hope Agenda continued its region wide programme targeting 50,000 students, with 10,000 slots allocated to each of the five South East states.

Belusochukwu Enwerem, National Coordinator of the South East Renewed Hope Agenda, launched the Anambra phase of the initiative, describing it as evidence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to quality education and youth empowerment.

Enwerem positioned the programme as a strategic investment in human capital development rather than charity, explaining that it aims to produce future doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and national leaders.

He stressed that education remains the strongest foundation for sustainable development, calling the occasion a movement of hope and empowerment that affirms that financial limitations should not define the future of students in Anambra State.

The national coordinator urged beneficiaries to approach the opportunity with discipline, determination, and excellence, emphasising the importance of serious preparation for their examinations.

Addressing parents and guardians, Enwerem noted that the programme is designed to ease financial pressure and reinforce the message that their children’s future truly matters.

Comrade Alphonsus Muonagolu, State Coordinator of the Anambra Chapter of the South East Renewed Hope Agenda, expressed satisfaction that students across all 21 local government areas benefited from the initiative. He thanked President Tinubu for the gesture and urged beneficiaries to register promptly and perform excellently in their examinations.

Miss Chiziterem Ezenwaobasiri, one of the beneficiaries, expressed happiness about the support she received.

Two other beneficiaries, Chizoba Chukwumaejim and Patrick Onuora, appreciated President Tinubu and offered prayers for his continued strength and success.

Other speakers noted that President Tinubu has removed a burden from parents seeking to secure higher education opportunities for their children.
