JAMB Subject Combination for Computer Science 2025

To study Computer Science in any Nigerian university, you must register for the following four (4) subjects in JAMB:

  1. English Language
  2. Mathematics
  3. Physics
  4. Any one of Chemistry, Biology, Economics, or Computer Studies

Note: Some universities prefer Economics or Computer Studies instead of Chemistry or Biology. Always check with your preferred institution.

  4. Any two from Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Studies, or Geography

Direct Entry Requirements for Computer Science

For candidates applying via Direct Entry, any of the following qualifications are required:

  1. A-Level passes in Mathematics and Physics (or any other science-related subject).
  2. OND, HND, or NCE in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
  3. A degree (B.Sc.) in a related discipline may also be considered for advanced placement.

Duration of the Computer Science Program 2025

  • The duration of a Computer Science degree in most Nigerian universities is 4 years for UTME candidates.
  • Direct Entry candidates may spend 3 year since they are starting from 200lvl
  • Graduates earn a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science.
