JAMB Subject Requirements for History and International Studies 2025
From the information which we have acquired from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, History and International Studies aspirants are to select the following subjects for their UTME:
- Use of English
- History
- Two subjects from the Social Sciences (e.g., Government, Geography, Economics, or Literature in English)
O’Level Requirements for History and International Studies
It is also mandatory for all candidates applying for the admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to upload their SSCE results including a minimum of five (5) credit passes, including English Language, History, and any three other subjects, preferably from the Social Sciences.
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements for History and International Studies
Admissions can also be applied through direct entry. Candidates must possess any of the following advanced level qualifications to be eligible:
- NCE (National Certificate in Education) in History or a related field (minimum Merit pass).
- ND (National Diploma) in a related field (minimum Lower Credit).
- HND (Higher National Diploma) in a related field (minimum Lower Credit).
