To also gain an admission to student the course, not only that you will be selecting the relevant subject combination, you must have also obtained a minimum of 5 credit passes in your O’Level; West African Examination Council (WAEC), National Examination Council (NECO), and any other relevant SSCE.

In other words, you must possess the credit passes in the following subjects as they are compulsory;

  1. English (compulsory)
  2. Mathematics (compulsory)
  3. Biology
  4. Chemistry
  5. Physics
  6. Plus any other science or social science subject

Direct Entry Requirements for Medicine and Surgery 2025

As a direct entry candidate, you are required to be in possession of any of the following requirements;

  1. A Level: Candidate must at least possess two (2) A level passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics
  2. ND/HND: A minimum of upper credits in Radiography, Nursing, Laboratory Science, or any other relevant course is required
  3. NCE: A least merit pass in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics
  4. IJMB/JUPEB: Candidates are required to have up to 13 points in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Mathematics

Despite meeting these requirements, you may need to meet other requirements based on your preferred tertiary institution.
