JAMB UTME Subject Combination for Agriculture 2025

The core UTME subject combination needed to study a discipline under the faculty of Agriculture are the following;

  1. Use of English
  2. Chemistry
  3. Biology/Agriculture and any one of Physics or Mathematics.

You must also consider several special requirements from these institutions such as ILORIN, UDU and IMSU that accept Economics or Geography in place of Physics/Mathematics, ABUAD requires Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, and a lot more depending on the institution you are applying to be admitted into.

O’Level Requirements for Agriculture UTME Candidates 2025

Most institutions requires five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Economics.

Institutions such as IBADAN requires five (5) credit passes including English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Mathematics and any one of Geography, Physics or Economics, and IMSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in Mathematics, along with ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics and vice versa, so you need to put all of these into considerations while preparing to be admitted.

Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates 2025

Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/Zoology/ Agricultural Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/Mathematics (Pure & Applied).

Further considerations have it that IBADAN and UMUDIKE accept ND or HND in the related fields. IBADAN Agricultural candidates must apply to read Agriculture until 500 level when options will be available, and LAPAI and ILORIN require ‘A’ Level passes in both Chemistry and Biology.
